	Please read membership and individual protection policy thoroughly before you signup. Membership is free of charge, and once you join, you can enroll in free or paid courses, as well as receive information on various events and services from KDI School.
	Your information is completely protected by our security system. Your information will not be disclosed externally.
	KDI School follows the standard policy formulated by Fair Trade Committee.
Membership is 100% free and all the information entered at the time of member registration will not be used for any other purposes than providing services of KDI online education facilities.
Entering false information may result in restricted services and our company will not be held responsible for any disadvantage incurred from it.

Member information can be edited any time but [ID, name and social number] cannot be edited. Please use caution when entering them.
The membership information you entered and all other site information are completely protected after being coded by perfect security system. So you can rest assured that they will be meticulously managed and will not be divulged externally.

Chapter 1. General Rules

Article 1 : Purpose
The purpose of the policy is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the education site and patrons in using internet-related service (called 'service' hereafter) provided by KDI School online education facilities.

Article 2 : Definition
GDLN is defined as KDI School online facilities and cyber facility where goods and services can be traded by using computers and information communication equipment to provide goods and services to the patrons. It also refers to business operators managing educational courses.
Patrons mean members and non-members who log into KDI School online education facility and receive services provided by them in accordance with the policy.
Member hereby means the person who registered as member by providing personal information to GDLN and will continuously receive information and use the services provided by GDLN.
On-member hereby means the person who uses services provided by GDLN without registering as member.

Article 3 : Policy Statement and Amendment
GDLN is to post on their initial service screen this policy statement, their trade name, location, representatives' names, business license number, contact number (phone, fax, email, address etc) so that the patrons can be aware.
GDLN can amend this policy within the range of not violating policy and regulation law, basic e-trade laws, e-signature law, information communication network promotion law, door-to-door sales laws, and consumer protection laws.
In case of amending GDLN policy, it is mandatory to post on their initial screen the new policy effective date and reasons for amendment together with current policy from 7 days to 1 day before the effective date.
In case of amending GDLN policy, the amended policy applies to contracts signed after the effective date. Previously signed contracts are subject to the policy before amendment.
However, if GDLN notifies "In case a patron does not express their agreement on newly amended policy for considerable period of time, it is deemed that the amended policy is applicable., or if it is unable to notify as such, even the contracts signed previous to amendment should follow newly amended policy.
Items not covered in this policy or its interpretation follow government-legislated laws on e-trade consumer protection law and related laws or business practice.

Article 4 : Providing and changing services
GDLN conducts the following.
1. Provide information on goods and services and sign purchase contracts
2. Provide the education service contracted
3. Conduct other tasks specified by GDLN

Article 5 : Service Stoppage
GDLN can temporarily stop their service in case of maintenance, replacement and breakdown of their computer or information communication equipment or communication breakdown.
In case of service stoppage in accordance with Article 1, GDLN notifies patrons in the way specified in Article 8.
GDLN is not held responsible for any damage to patrons or the 3rd party due to  service stoppage covered in Article 1.


Chapter 2 : Membership Contract


Article 6: Member Registration
Patron can register for membership by completing a KDI-designated form with member information and expressing their agreement with the policy.
KDI online education facility grants membership to applicants signing up according to Clause 1,except the following.
1. When an applicant has lost membership status according to this policy Article 7 clause 3.However the exception is when the person gets an approval from GDLN member for re-registration, 3 years after losing membership status.
2. In case there is false, erroneous or omitted information in registration.
3. Others: registering as member is deemed to cause obvious technical damage to GDLN.
4. If the person is under 14.
Membership is effective when the approval from GDLN arrives at the member.
Then there is a change in registration item according to Article 15 clause 1,a member should notify GDLN immediately by email or other methods.

Article 7 : Membership Withdrawal /Status deprivation
Member can, at any time, ask for withdrawal from GDLN and it will immediately process withdrawal.
In case of the following, GDLN can restrict or suspend membership status.
1. In case of entering false information in registration
2. In case not making payment for goods and services using GDLN or other member dues related to using KDI online education facility on time.
3. In case interrupting other people's use of KDI online education facility, stealing information, or other cases of threatening e-trade order.
4. In case of engaging in activities violating rules and policy of GDLN or against public order.
After restriction/suspension of GDLN member status, if the same behavior is repeated twice or more, or it is not corrected within 30 days, GDLN can deprive the membership status.
In case of depriving GDLN membership status, membership registration gets deleted. In this case, the member is informed and is given a chance to restore it.

Article 8 : Notification to members
In case GDLN notifies members, it can send email to the address submitted by the member to KDI.
Then GDLN notifies indefinite number of members, it can post on GDLN bulletin board for at least a week for the same effect as individual notification.


Chapter 3 : GDLN and patron's responsibilities.


Article 9 : Personal information protection.
GDLN collects  minimum information on the patron required for executing the purchase agreement. The following is a must and the rest is optional.
1. name
2. Social ID number (for member)
3. address
4. phone number
5. ID (for member)
6. password (for member)
 patron's agreement is a must when collecting personal information from which individual recognition is possible.
The provided information cannot be used or provided to the 3rd party for other purposes without the patron's agreement and all the relevant responsibilities are held by GDLN. However, the following is an exception.
- When the information is provided for the purposes of statistics, academic research or market research and individual recognition is impossible.
Then GDLN, according to Article 2 and 3,needs the patron's agreement, it should in advance state or notify items covered by Information Communication Use Promotion Law Article 16 clause 3,such as identity of personal information manager (department, name, phone number, other contact number), information collecting/usage purpose, and relevant items of the 3rd party (recipient, purpose, contents). And the patron can withdraw the agreement at any time.
The patron can at any time demand displaying  or editing  their personal information held by GDLN and GDLN has an obligation to respond to it without hesitation.
GDLN, to protect personal information, limits and minimizes the number of managers and is responsible for any loss caused by loss, theft, leak, and forgery of personal information including credit card and bank account.
KDI School online education or the 3rd party who was provided with personal information disposes personal information without hesitation, when its or the 3rd party's purpose of collecting personal information has been met.

Article 10 : Responsibilities of online education facility.
GDLN should not engage in any activities violating this policy or public order and should try its best to provide goods and services on a stable and consistent basis in accordance with this policy.
GDLN should be equipped with security system to protect the patron's personal information (including credit information) so that the patron can safely use the internet service.
GDLN is held responsible for the patron's loss, if any, due to its unfair marking/advertising behavior regarding its goods and services, according to "Laws on fair marking/advertising" Article 3.
GDLN does not send profit-intended commercial email that the patron does not want.

Responsibility of managing ID and password lies on the member except the case of Article 15.
Members should not let others use their ID or password.
In case a member realizes that a 3rd party is using or has stolen his/her ID or password, he/she should immediately inform GDLN and follow its directions if any.

Article 12 : Responsibilities of the patron
The patron should not engage in the following behavior.
1. Registering false items when registering or editing.
2. Editing posted information
3. Transmitting or posting information (computer program, etc) not designated by GDLN.
4. Infringe on copyrights or intelligence property of GDLN or the 3rd party.
5. Interrupting or damaging activities or integrity of GDLN or the 3rd party.
6. Exhibiting or posting obscene or violent message, images, sound or other information disrupting public order on the sly.
7. Engaging in other activities such as providing distorted facts and others that are deemed to be inappropriate by GDLN.
In case information deemed to be inappropriate by GDLN is posted or linked, GDLN can delete the information in question or cut off the link without notifying the person who posted such.
 However, GDLN does not have responsibility to delete or cut off the link of such information.



Chapter 4 : Others

Article 13 : Copyright and usage restriction
The copyrights and other intelligence property of all materials made by GDLN belong to GDLN.
Patrons, without consent from GDLN, can not copy, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or use other ways for profit purpose or let the 3rd party use the information obtained when using GDLN.
Article 14 : Conflict Resolution
GDLN gives priority in resolving complaints or suggestions from the patrons. However, when immediate care is not possible, the patron will be notified of its reasons and resolving date.
Any conflict between GDLN and the patron can be settled following mediation by E-trade conflict mediation committee established based on E-trade basic law article 38 clause 15.
Article 15 : Judiciary and Authority Law
Any lawsuit on e-trade dispute between KDI School online education and the patron can be filed at Seoul District Court.
-trade lawsuits between GDLN and the patron are to follow Korean Law.

* Other items not specified in this policy should follow regulations stipulated in Basic Electronic Communication Law, Electronic Communication Business Law and others.

This policy is effective as of March 1, 2003.
